Need help with travel? Travel Devon is here to help!

At Travel Devon, we believe that sustainable travel is an essential part of business and makes business sense.  If you want to change your workplace’s approach to walking, cycling and public transport but don’t know where to start then we can help.  Whether your aim is to solve your car parking issues, boost staff health and wellbeing or reduce travel costs, we can support you and keep your workplace moving.  The best part is, all our support is free.

All types of businesses in Devon can use the Travel Devon Toolkit to access tools, guidance, templates and more to help them support various modes of sustainable travel at their workplace.  If you start with a Travel Audit or Travel Survey, both of which are available on the toolkit, you will receive a free report providing advice on the next steps for your company.

If your workplace is based in Exeter, Newton Abbot or Barnstaple, registering your workplace on the Travel Devon Toolkit unlocks grant funding for sustainable travel initiatives.  Grant funding can be used for promotional events such as bike maintenance sessions, cycle parking or certain measures supporting teleconferencing, flexible working, and working from home.  There are also additional support schemes for individual members of staff like bus taster tickets, free cycle confidence sessions etc.

By registering to the Travel Devon Toolkit, completing a sustainable travel audit and encouraging your staff to complete a travel to work survey you are demonstrating your commitment to encouraging and / or rewarding green commuting.

Investing in sustainable travel can improve a business’ image as a green employer, increase staff physical and mental health and productivity and reduce travel costs.  It also immediately impacts a business’ direct environment by reducing congestion and air pollution.
